Apple, Mac OS X and Intel

Today I just finish watch Apple WWDC 2005 addresses by Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. I am very impressed to hear his confirmation that in this 5 years, honestly Apple always compiled all of its OS (operating systems) for two machines, one is IBM PowerPC that also known as Apple Mac and the other is Intel. I am not sure which Intel processors they used for the 1st release of Mac OS X probably Pentium 3. And in the show, he was demoing the Mac OS X latest release a.k.a. "Tiger" that run on Pentium 4 3.6 Ghz.

Like you already know next year Apple will use Intel processors to run their machines. So if you are planning to buy Apple PC, especially PowerBook I think better wait until June 2006.
